Creative approach

Utilizing his vast experience, Michael is innately skilled at achieving superb creative work. His passion for innovative design allows him to push himself, and his team, until the results are at only the highest level. He brings brands to life through visual narratives—cutting through the noise to create something that is not only beautiful, but that also tirelessly works towards achieving business goals. He doesn’t think of things in isolation, but of how design fits into the bigger picture.

Leadership

Michael is the quintessential definition of “lead by example.” He is a driven and seasoned creative director—he builds trust by doing the work, putting in the time, and being thorough and thoughtful—and his teams and peers recognize and respect his work ethic. Michael challenges his teams and holds them accountable, and young and experienced designers alike flourish under his strong and steady guidance.

Design Operations

Creatives often make beautiful things, but many times they struggle to establish operational expertise. Michael, however, understands that creativity thrives within defined boundaries. By approaching each project with an operational mind, he sets up processes that are guaranteed to benefit the business. Unafraid to work cross-functionally, he can evaluate a system from a bird’s-eye-view, and understand both its strengths and flaws—and isn’t afraid to restructure or rebuild to reach the peak efficiency.

Clients Relationships

Michael is 100% service-oriented for his clients or executive suite. As a creative director, his biggest strength is his storytelling—he tells a creative tale that inevitably explains how to perfectly accomplish a client’s goals. He has an innate ability to listen to any problem, understand the definition of success, and then distill it into poignant creative. Michael doesn’t have to oversell his work because, oftentimes, it sells itself.

Michael realizes that writing about himself in the third-person is awkward yet difficult. So thankfully, the extremely talented Hannah Warne wrote it for him.
